From Katy Perry to Nicki Minaj, rebellious pop princesses with a penchant for pastels have toughened up such formerly saccharine shades as pink. Although still pretty, the latest barrage of powdery, more muted nail varnishes in the shade prove that it can also be, well, tough as nails. As hard-edged as they now are, however, we can't guarantee that they won't chip if you happen to find yourself in a bar brawl.
