The question

What's the best way to get fall's heavier-looking eyebrows?

The answer

There's an easy way to achieve fuller-looking brows while steering clear of the Groucho Marx look. First, skip excessive tweezing. Remove any errant hairs as needed, but be sure not to change the overall shape of your brow. Second, brush hairs into place and begin filling in gaps with your colour, starting from the arch and then the rest of the brow. Finally, use powder over the whole brow if you want to make your brows look a touch thicker (best done for a night out) and then finish with a brow gel to hold it in place and prevent smudging.

As for products, you can use a pencil, a pen/marker or powder to achieve this, but the difference will be mostly in what you feel most comfortable using. To take the guesswork out of picking colours, you can use a universal product such as the double-ended brow pencil by It Cosmetics, which comes with a mascara spoolie for brushing through the colour. There is also Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Brow Color pen, which comes in two shades and works for most blondes and brunettes.
