The question

Can you suggest some products I can use to give my hair a healthy sheen at this time of year, when the air is so dry?

The answer

I have two words for you: hair oil. Don't panic and think "goopy mess." These products are a great way to give your hair much-needed nourishment. There are a lot of options: For thin hair, Moroccanoil is by far the most recognizable name. A new, lighter version is now available, which helps restore lost protein and speeds up blow-drying time like the original. It is also residue-free, which means your hair won't be weighed down.

For medium-textured hair, there is macadamia oil, which is great at hydrating and adding shine to lifeless hair.

Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Treatment can be applied to slightly damp or dry hair. It is non-greasy and is ideal for wavy and curly hair as well as hair that is heat-styled. For thick, coarse hair, however, use something more powerful, such as Matrix Biolage ExquisiteOil, with moringa oil. It nourishes the scalp and hair and has anti-aging properties and a wonderful smell. Use it before shampooing, after showering or before blow-drying.
