SkinCeuticals AOX Eye Gel Antioxidant Eye Treatment

The promise

Significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and under-eye bags with this eye serum that boasts a powerful antioxidant combination of vitamin C in its most effective states. Its groundbreaking gelified formulation also claims maximum penetration and efficacy.

How it works

An antioxidant combination that boasts five-per-cent L-ascorbic acid (that's a lot of vitamin C – the highest concentration possible, in fact, without irritating the delicate eye area) corrects photo damage, prevents the signs of aging and improves skin tone. Ruscus aculeatus (derived from an evergreen shrub native to Western Europe) promotes under-eye circulation and reduces puffiness, while caffeine improves drainage and reduces the appearance of under-eye bags.

How to use it

Apply one pump of product to under-eye area in the morning.

The bottom line

There's something you need to know about me: I'm a big liar. I lie to customs agents about how much shopping I've done abroad. I lie to my doctor about how often I work out. I lie to my editors about how close I am to making deadline (ahem). I lie about my weight, my height, my real hair colour and my alcohol consumption. Most of all, though, I lie about my age. Unfortunately, as time goes by, the bags that accumulate under my eyes denote years beyond the 28 that have served as my publicly acknowledged age over the last near decade. I never thought I'd say this about bags before, but I hate them. Thankfully, this product shrinks them almost immediately. One tiny pump – seriously, pump carefully or it will go squirting across your bathroom mirror – deflates my under-eye bags while simultaneously brightening the area so that I look like I have the eyes of a much younger, more honest woman. Believe me, I'd never lie about something like this.
