Bare ankles are so passé. Try a funky sock instead

As we tiptoe toward spring, look for shorter pants to crop up everywhere. A not-quite capri length was big on the runways, so stay ahead of the curve by picking up a pair in this style. Since it's not yet warm enough for bare ankles, however, pair your new trousers with colourful socks in a cute, preppy print.

Add open-toed shoes and you'll have a look guaranteed to make you – and admiring passersby – smile. (Just make sure to stick to chunky heels. Stilettos are too much with this trend.)
