Wine Reviews Bellingham The Bernard Series Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2016, South Africa

Rich yellow-golden in colour, which suggests this might pack plenty of flavour. And it does. Medium-full-bodied and creamy, it’s brimming with apricot, peach and honey as well as hints of vanilla and ginger. It’s all energized by just the right level of acidity. Available in Ontario at the price below, $26.49 in British Columbia (on sale for $24.49 until June 30), $25.10 in Quebec.

  • Year: 2016
  • Region: Western Cape
  • Varietal: Chenin blanc
