I wish there were more whites like this made beyond the borders of France. It's mostly viognier, a luscious, exotically floral grape, with chenin blanc, chardonnay and semillon in the mix. The profile lands somewhere between dry and off-dry, with pear and apricot fruit, subtle oak, a smooth, fleshy texture and good weight lifted by the right level of acidity. Great for Indian or Thai curries. Available only in Ontario and only through the LCBO's Internet sales arm, www.vintagesshoponline.com.
