wine review

What a beauty. It puts many of its Oregon kin to shame, striking a great balance of pear- and apple-like fruit and crisp acidity, carried on a texture that starts seductively silky and finishes satisfyingly chalky, with a note of mineral in the second act. Grilled or seared scallops would be bliss with this wine. Available direct from the winery, www.bovwine.ca.
