Citille di Sopra Brunello di Montalcino 2007, Italy

Brunello di Montalcino
Food Pairing
Grilled veal chops

Priced at the low end for Brunello, this is still a luxury purchase, but it wallops many of its more expensive kin. Power, structure, ripe fruit and an elegant mineral-like character come together in this marvellously complex juice, woven with ample fine-grained tannins. Cellar it for up to 15 years or pair it now with grilled veal chops.
