This hails from a large producer in southern France and shares a little too much in common with plummy merlot to please pinot diehards. But it's got two things on its side besides a fetching price. It's pressed from organically farmed grapes and exerts a tight tannic grip to offset the very ripe fruit and dark chocolate flavours.
