This is what Australia has been known for doing well: fairly priced, full-bodied reds with mass appeal. It delivers lots of subtly sweet fruit, but there's good acid lift and nuances of licorice and peppercorn for added interest. Fine for lamb and beef, but I suspect people will be happy to gulp it on its own. $19.99 in Nova Scotia.
