Ardbeg Ardbog Islay Single Malt, Scotland

Sure, it may seem expensive, but it's not crazy compared with the typical price of about £95 in Britain, where it sold out quickly after release. This is a special edition of one of Scotland's, and thus the world's, greatest and most robustly smoky whiskies. What a joyful explosion of bacon, damp earth and roasted nuts accented by a distinct whiff of rich, smoky English-pub air mixed with auto-shop motor oil. It culminates with a mouth-watering finish. It's take-no-prisoners whisky.
