Wine review: McManis Chardonnay 2012, California

Food Pairing

McManis makes benchmark California syrah and viognier (among other varietals) for the money and this chardonnay reveals a deft hand, especially where oak is concerned. Silky and seamless, it displays ripe pineapple and mango laced with judicious vanilla and a firm acid spine. Perfect for lobster.
