The question

What are the hottest new colours for home decor?

The answer

Story continues below advertisement

These days, shades of grey aren't just limited to E.L. James's pop erotica: They're also a decorating go-to right now. Among the most popular Benjamin Moore examples are Coventry Grey HC-169, Stonington Grey HC-170 and Wickham Grey HC-171. These shades are great both on their own or together. As a rule, choose silver greys over brown- or green-greys, as the hospital-like tones of the latter don't often achieve what those E.L. James books are promoting: ecstasy. Another great advantage is their versatility: Silver greys mix well with a whole host of colours, from cool ones such as blue to hot, hot reds.
