LISTING AGENTS Jenelle Cameron, Miranda McKenna and Laura Golbeck, Re/Max Hallmark Realty Ltd.

The Action: Less than a handful of units are vacated at Massey Harris Lofts in any given year, so this one-bedroom loft had more than 30 buyers lined up for tours at the end of the summer. On the date submissions were considered, two bidders competed to produce the best offer.

What They Got: An over century-old heritage building once used as offices for the legendary farm equipment manufacturer is now a private residence for condominium lofts, such as this nearly 500-square-foot unit with 14-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, brick-and-beam finishes and hardwood floors.

The loft is open concept with space for entertaining and dining and a galley-style kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances.

Tucked away is an elevated area to retire for the evening, laundry facilities and a sleek four-piece bathroom, plus parking with bike storage.

Monthly fees of $358 covers water and heating.

The Agent's Take: "The location is amazing and every single unit is totally unique," agent Jenelle Cameron said. "People just love it because there are not a lot of hard lofts in the city."

Though some lofts average 600 to 700 square feet, this one hardly felt confining. "It's pretty tiny, but it's a good entry point to get a loft downtown because there's not a lot in that price," Ms. Cameron said.

"It has 14-foot ceilings and it's got a bedroom that's elevated up a few steps and away from the main living space, so gives it a bit more sense of space. And it's all open concept with huge windows."
