The Action: Willowdale is home to various townhouses, from stacked suites to traditional freeholds, so this three-storey unit's mix of a low-rise layout with condominium conveniences brought out nearly two dozen buyers and an offer by the 10th day of exposure.

What They Got: The 12-year-old community, called the Carriage Homes of Avondale, is composed of modern townhouses, like this east-facing model with roughly 1,900 square feet, including a lower-level family room with access to a spot in a common underground garage.

The open living and dining space has a gas fireplace and hardwood floors, as well as granite-topped kitchen counters, island and stainless steel appliances.

An oak staircase leads up to two carpeted bedrooms on the second floor and a third-floor master with his and her closets and one of three bathrooms.

Additional conveniences include laundry facilities and monthly fees of $424 cover water.

The Agent's Take: "There are other condo towns – even freehold towns – but for the price point, age and its features, this complex really shines," agent Jeff Oulahen says.

"Every single unit … has a door where your car is, so you can just drive in, open the door and go up a flight of stairs to the kitchen. It's pretty awesome to have a heated underground parking garage."

This townhouse also has additional perks. "There are four different models in the complex, and all the ones on the perimeter have rec rooms in the basement, so they sell for more," Mr. Oulahen states.

"[Plus] this almost overlooks a two-acre park just southwest of it … which is a beautiful park that is extremely well maintained."
