IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

As Mercury moves into your sign on your birthday the link between your brain and your vocal chords will shorten considerably. Try to think about what you are going to say before you actually say it. Failing that, be prepared to say “sorry” often!

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

You are who you are and there is no point trying to be someone different. In fact, as first Mercury, today, then Venus, later in the week, move into your birth sign you must at all times and in all situations be true to your own nature.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

You may prefer to do things in the open where everyone can see what you are up to but the planets urge you to be a bit more secretive today. Do other people actually need to see what you are doing? If not, keep it to yourself.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

You will find it easier to put thoughts into words now that Mercury, your ruling planet, is moving in your favouur again. Don’t worry that what you say might seem outrageous to some people – it’s their fault for having such tiny minds.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

At some stage today it will occur to you that there is an easier way to deal with a problem of a personal nature. Most likely that way is simply to ignore it. If you refuse to focus on it chances are it will lose most of its power.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

You may have to put certain plans on hold in the run-up to Friday’s full moon but after that you will be free to push ahead again – and this time you’ll have the wind at your back. The future is bright Leo, so keep faith and keep working hard.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

You are about to discover that someone you thought you could trust has been leading you on in ways that are designed to make failure more likely. You should have noticed before but, as they say, better late than never. So, what are you going to do about it?

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

A mental block of some kind will start to crumble over the next few days and come the weekend you will see both where you have been going wrong and what you now need to do to get back on track. After that, it’s up to you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

A work-related issue should seem less of a problem now that mind planet Mercury is moving into the area of your chart that governs, among other things, your mental ability. Chances are you have overlooked a minor, yet rather important, detail.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

The planets are beginning to move in your favour and by this time next week your confidence will be sky high again. Between now and then try letting go of any negative feelings you have about other people – then you can leave them behind too.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

A situation you once feared no longer holds any terrors for you and most likely you will seek it out over the next few days, just to prove to yourself that it no longer controls you. If you can, find time to help others with their fears as well.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Don’t worry if you have found it hard to express yourself clearly in recent weeks because communications planet Mercury moves in your favour today and soon the words will be flowing again. Don’t say too much though. Some things are best kept to yourself.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

The cosmic picture is about to change and in a matter of days you will no longer be under the kind of scrutiny you are now. No doubt you will be relieved but don’t think it means you can hide yourself away again. It’s too late – you’ve been noticed!
