IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Mercury, your ruler, links with luck planet Jupiter on your birthday, but because the angle between these planets is challenging, you need to be on your guard. Use your imagination by all means but don’t let flights of fancy tempt you to take foolish risks.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

Focus on what you are good at and forget about trying to impress other people. The more certain individuals encourage you to take risks the more likely it is they are hoping you will make a fool of yourself. You don’t have to make it easy for them.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

So many people need your assistance but the simple fact is you can’t help them all, so focus on the most deserving cases and give them 100 per cent. If you truly want to be a force for good you may need to be ruthless too.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

Pace yourself carefully today and resist the temptation to take on more tasks than you can comfortably handle. With Mercury, your ruler, at odds with Jupiter, planet of excess, there is a danger you could go too far and fall off the edge!

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

Common sense is not as common as some people imagine and the planets warn you need to think carefully before you act. If you take risks that are not called for it could cost you dearly later in the week, not only financially but emotionally, too.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

Put recent upsets and upheavals behind you and focus on more important matters. According to the planets a partner or loved one feels a bit left out of things at the moment and you need to reassure them they are still very much in your thoughts.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

Stop kidding yourself that you are happy with your lot and start making changes that can make your life more enjoyable and fulfilling. The sun in your sign will help you get on in the world, so socialize more and get yourself noticed.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Some people may say you are being too pushy but don’t listen to them. What they actually mean is they are not comfortable with the fact that you refuse to do what they want you to do. And why should you? They don’t own you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

Don’t waste precious time and energy on a new project when there is an existing one that needs to be completed. It’s not like you to leave any kind of task half finished, so get your act together and get on with it. Do it now Scorpio!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

What you lack in experience you more than make up for in enthusiasm and over the course of the next few days you will impress a lot of people with your can-do attitude. Important people are watching you closely – make sure they like what they see.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

If someone tries to convince you to invest in a scheme you don’t know much about you are strongly advised to give it a miss. With mind planet Mercury under the influence of Jupiter there is a real danger you are not thinking straight!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

You have been pushing yourself extremely hard of late and will reach a point over the next 24 hours where you find it impossible to keep going at your current speed. Slow down before you break down – there is no glory in making yourself ill.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

The line between fact and fiction may be a bit blurred at the moment, especially where relationship issues are concerned, so don’t be too eager to support one person over another. Chances are you may have read the situation wrong.
