IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

Take time on your birthday to define your goals for the coming year. You don’t need to go into detail but you do need to identify the direction you want to move in and the milestones you want to reach along the way. Give yourself something to aim for.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

Your self-confidence could be a bit fragile this weekend as nothing you do seems to find favour with people you love and respect. Don’t worry, this is only a passing phase, so let it pass and come Monday you will be their favourite again.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

Ignore those who say that certain things must not be said or done. If a belief or course of action feels right to you then go for it. Pay no attention to what others tell you this weekend. Only listen to and act on what your inner voice says.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

If you give others the impression that you are being too negative about what they are proposing they may cut you out of their plans, and that would be a shame because the planets indicate they will be a huge success. Be positive Gemini!

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

Someone you can usually trust seems to be giving you a slanted version of what’s been going on and you must make it your number one aim to find out the truth. If you act on misleading information the consequences could be disastrous.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

The effects of yesterday’s sun-Pluto link won’t fade for a day or two yet, so be careful what you say to people in positions of power and don’t be tempted to use your own position to get an advantage over others. If you do it WILL rebound on you.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

Why are some people so negative in their thinking? Whatever the reason you must have no part of it and may even have to distance yourself physically this weekend so their bad vibes can’t rub off on you. Always believe that good things will happen.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

This could turn out to be one of those weekends when the more you strive to get things done the less you seem to accomplish. Maybe you should take the hint and stop trying so hard. The workday week is over, so why not have some fun?

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

If you change something you are working on in even a minor way the long-term effects are unlikely to be to your liking, so think before you act and recognize that, in fact, you are under no obligation to act at all. Don’t make life difficult for yourself.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Yes, it may be true that someone is talking behind your back – you’ve heard the whispers – but there is nothing you can do about it, so why let it get to you? Most likely they are jealous of your talent and good looks. Most people are!

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

Don’t wait for a friend to ask for assistance today – you can see they are struggling and you must dive right in and help. But don’t go too far and completely take over what they are doing. Just show them how to do it better for themselves.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

The planets suggest you are worrying about something that isn’t worth the effort, so get your head together and tell yourself that from here on in you are not even going to think about it. This kind of “problem” tends to go away if you ignore it.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

You need to be a bit more skeptical about what friends tell you and what you read and hear in the news. That is doubly important when the news is negative. Are things really so bad or are certain people putting a slant on events for their own ends?
