IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

A sun-Saturn link on your birthday means you will have to work extra hard to reach your goals. It also means that when you get to the place you’ve been aiming for the sense of satisfaction you feel will be tremendous. It’s an effort worth making.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

You may not be interested in a social activity of some kind but the planets suggest if you take the plunge you will enjoy yourself. Just take care you don’t enjoy yourself too much – this is one of those days when you could go to extremes.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

A friend or work colleague will make something that is actually quite risky sound like the simplest thing in the world today. Don’t be fooled. If they ask you to invest your time and money in the project be polite but give it a miss.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

You seem to be a bit too assertive, even aggressive, at the moment, and that could work against you if you offend someone who is big enough to hit back hard. If you can be a little less abrasive today you will get a lot more done.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

You are not the type to sit on the fence and watch the world go by – as a cardinal sign you prefer to get involved. Which is fine, but the planets warn if you get too deeply involved in someone else’s business today you may never get out again!

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

“Don’t shoot the messenger” appears to be the warning from the stars today Leo. If a friend or family member says something you don’t like it’s not because they want to hurt you, it’s because they feel they have no choice in the matter.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

By all means be ambitious but try not to be impulsive. More than anything else now you must be 100 per cent convinced that the course of action you are about to take is really for the best. Always have a purpose, and always have a plan.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Your calm Libra exterior is likely to crack a bit as someone annoys you to such an extent that you can’t help but let your feelings show. Hopefully they are smart enough to get the message. If not, it could get a bit nasty by day’s end.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

If you try to force people to do things they don’t want to do today you are asking for trouble – and you’ll get it big time. Scorpio may be a persuasive sign but sometimes you have to accept that no matter what you offer it won’t be enough.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

Today’s sun-Saturn link could make you a bit reticent today, a bit reluctant to take risks. That may seem out of character but it could also save you from making a huge mistake. Listen to what your subconscious mind is trying to tell you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

No one is out to get you. No one is scheming behind your back. Although your ruling planet Saturn is under a bit of pressure at the moment that does not mean you should fear the worst. In fact, fearing it is more likely to make it happen.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Try not to take what happens over the next 24 hours too seriously because the planets indicate that nothing bad will come of it – at least, nothing bad for you personally. Also, what happens in the world at large must not be allowed to affect your mood.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

It may be frustrating that someone is dragging their feet and refusing to move as quickly as you would like them to but there is precious little you can do about it. Do what you can to hurry them along but don’t get angry or upset. It’s not worth it.
