IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY:

With Mars and Uranus squaring up to each other on your birthday you have to expect a few conflicts and confrontations over the next 12 months. But that's all right. They will help you to toughen up and sharpen your will to win.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20):

Mars, your ruler, is at odds with Uranus, planet of surprises today, so expect something, well, surprising to happen. Whatever it may be, try not to overreact. You don't want to make a difficult situation even worse.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21):

Let everyone know what you can do today. Blow your own trumpet and blow it loudly. The fact of the matter is there are few who can match you for energy or excellence. You have a right to be pleased with yourself.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 21):

There is a danger today that you will act too quickly and make a silly mistake, which could set back your plans by weeks or even months. Check all facts and figures for yourself. Don't be too trusting.

CANCER (June 22 - July 23):

A partnership problem will only be resolved if you resolve to work for a solution that all sides find fair. It does not matter if you are right and they are wrong, it matters only that everyone is happy.

LEO (July 24 - Aug. 23):

Mars in the well-being area of your chart warns that you must know your limits. Don't push too hard or too fast today or you may need to spend tomorrow and the weekend recovering from your exertions.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 - Sept. 23):

At some point today you will have to decide to push ahead with a project without the help of those you had previously counted on. But that's okay, you don't need them. You're quite capable of getting it done yourself.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 - Oct. 23):

Disputes of one kind or another are likely today, but that's fine. The air has to be cleared every once in a while and now is as good a time as any. As always your sense of fair play will see you through.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 - Nov. 22):

Don't let anyone talk you out of what you are planning to do. They may say they are trying to save you from disaster but the truth is they don't want to see you succeed. It's called envy. Push on.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 - Dec. 21):

There is no point trying to convince a friend that your way of doing things is best, even though it clearly is, because they don't want to believe you. You will have to go it alone – and you'll do better that way.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 - Jan. 20):

You need to sit down and draw up a list of priorities. If you don't, you will waste a great deal of time and energy on matters that are of no real importance. Your time is precious – don't waste it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 - Feb. 19):

Why are you convinced that others want to do you harm? Why do you think you have secret enemies? It's not true, it's just your mind playing tricks on you, so be positive and act as if everyone is your friend.

PISCES (Feb. 20 - Mar. 20):

It's time to take action. For too long you have been sitting around planning what you are going to do some day, but that day may never come unless you get out and about and make things happen. Do it now.
