Unless you're an A-list (or solid B-plus, at least) celebrity or entourage crony of such, chances are you won't be going to Jezebel during this week's Toronto International Film Festival. If you aren't the above and still want to get in, I suggest you be preternaturally good-looking, impeccably dressed and in possession of a valid Centurion card.
Jezebel is vying to be the It spot for TIFF this year and is booked solid for parties, after-parties and after-after-parties for the duration of the festivities. Frankly, it's easy to see why. The sexy purple-on-grey space with its retro reflective wallpaper and ornate chandeliers oozes libidinous sophistication. Designed to resemble an exclusive bordello, it features a small formal entrance, a larger bar area with a stage for visiting burlesque acts (the Pussy Cat Dolls, Crazy Horse) and, way in the back, a lush private room for the biggest of the bigwigs.
Michael Fish, a co-owner and head bartender, has created a brand new vodka cocktail especially for TIFF. Named after the bar, the Sophie Jezebel is always a bit naughty, but downright wanton during the festival, when it receives an extra shot. Fish says it'll remain on the menu as the house drink after Sept. 19, when a lot of those A-listers go home.

1 ounce Chambord
Splash Raspberry vodka
Veuve Clicquot champagne
Combine the first two ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a martini glass and gently add a splash of raspberry vodka. Top with champagne and garnished with three ripe raspberries.
