Does breastfeeding make you a good mother?

Research shows that "breast is best." But some mothers can't breastfeed for health reasons; others simply make the choice not to. Are their children worse off for it? Are we too judgmental of moms who make this choice?

"While research clearly shows the benefits of breastfeeding, the intense demands breastfeeding places on a mother are not captured by the medical studies," Wency Leung writes in What’s wrong with feeding your baby formula?

The Globe's Erin Anderrsen and Tralee Pearce, along with Tasnim Nathoo, co-author of The One Best Way? Breastfeeding History, Politics, and Policy in Canada, will be here to discuss this issue for this week's Wednesday Watercooler chat at 1 p.m. ET.
