Ikea is recalling the belts of its ANTILOP high chair.

Ikea is recalling the belts from a type of high chair it sold in Canada and the United States.

Health Canada says the belts have been found to open unexpectedly while in use, creating a fall hazard.

Ikea has received eight reports of such accidental openings, and in three cases children sustained minor injuries when they fell from the chair.

Health Canada says it isn't aware of any incidents in Canada; countries that have reported incidents are the United States, Sweden and Japan.

The high chair in question is a brand called Antilop, bearing a supplier number 17389 and the production date 0607-0911 (YYMM).

Health Canada says people with these high chairs should stop using them immediately and contact Ikea about getting a replacement belt.
