This may be the most awesome video you watch today (another Canadian Olympic triumph aside). It is certainly the best commercial ever for a GoPro camera, especially since, unlike those Ford-sponsored video of longboarders veering down a winding mountain road, it appears to have happened purely by chance. (Either that, or it's one clever editing job.)
A GoPro, in case you don't have a teenager at home clamouring for one, is a high-resolution camera that you can mount on a ski helmet, a sail boat, a surf board and pretty much anything else.
But this incredible one-minute video has now gone viral on YouTube. It begins with someone filming from the open door of a small aircraft, and then the GoPro appears to take tumble, falling and spinning for several seconds before landing, well, in a most unlikely – a pig pen, where it quickly attracts the attention of a snorting resident swine, who appears to attempt to eat it.
The GoPro survived, however, only to be discovered reportedly eight months later by the puzzled farmer, who then played the video to solve the mystery of the camera's origin, and posted it to YouTube.
