A list of the best new Canadian restaurants in EnRoute magazine puts Toronto's Bymark in first, followed by Vancouver's Bis Moreno and Montreal's Les Chevres.
Contributing editor Amy Rosen calls Bymark "a significant addition to the country's food scene."
Bis Moreno is described as a "stunning, minimalist" eatery. Les Chevres offers a "raucous eight-course vegetarian tasting menu that includes three desserts."
Food editors across the country were asked to recommend restaurants that opened between June 2002 and June 2003.
Other restaurants in the top 10: Beckta Dining and Wine, Ottawa; the Temple, Victoria; Celestin, Toronto; Eau, Toronto; Muse Restaurant and Lounge, Calgary; Sobo, Tofino, B.C.; and Cluny, Montreal.
