NEW NON-STOP TO VAIL

The buy: Air Canada has a seat sale to promote its new non-stop service from Toronto to Vail and the ski slopes of Colorado this winter.

The savings: With roundtrip fares of $373, including all taxes and fees, the price is less than half what you would pay to fly to Denver later this month.

The catch: There are limited seats available at that price and you have to book by Sept. 10.

Why it's worth it: These flights go every Saturday from Dec. 14 to April 5 right into Eagle Vail Airport just 30 minutes from the slopes of Vail and Beaver Creek, one of the world's great ski resorts. You save up to four hours of driving to and from Denver Airport with the only non-stop from Canada to Vail.

AIR FRANCE/KLM SALE

The buy:

Air France and KLM have a back-to-school promotion with fares to Europe and beyond from $849 from Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, including taxes and fees (plus $150 from Calgary and Vancouver).

The savings: Hundreds of dollars.

The catch: You have to book by Sept. 17 for travel from Oct. 16 to Dec. 14 and Dec. 25 to May 6.

Why it's worth it: Air France is offering cities in Spain, Casablanca, Copenhagen, Vienna, Stockholm and Paris from $849 with other French cities from $879, Tel Aviv and Beirut from $1,049 and Dakar, Conakry, Mauritius, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore and Chinese cities from $1,249. KLM is offering Dublin, Prague, Bucharest, Edinburgh and Istanbul from $849.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS DISCOUNT

The buy: Universal Orlando Resort is offering residents of Canada an exclusive on-site hotel discount at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort and Hard Rock Hotel.

The savings: 40 per cent.

The catch: You have to book a four-night stay by Dec. 31 for stays from Nov. 3 through March 22.

Why it's worth it: You get Universal Express Unlimited access to skip the regular lines in both Universal theme parks all day, as well as early park admission to experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and free on-site transportation via water taxi or shuttle bus to both theme parks and CityWalk.

IHG REWARDS CLUB OFFERS

The buy: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is rewarding members through its biggest hotel rewards promotion of the year called "The Big Win."

The savings: Members will receive custom bonus offers of at least 50,000 bonus points or at least 10,000 miles throughout the promotional period and will be awarded with 1,000 bonus points or 500 miles for their first night's stay.
