With the heat and the crowds of summer gone and the prices lower, late fall and early winter can be excellent times to take a Mediterranean cruise.

Costa Cruises is offering fares starting at $399 a person on seven-night eastern and western Mediterranean sailings on select cruises in November and December.

These include round-trip cruises from Venice, aboard Costa Victoria, visiting Ancona, Athens, Mykonos, Corfu and Dubrovnik. Western Mediterranean cruises round-trip from Rome are available on both Costa Concordia and Costa Magica. All fares are cruise-only.
