The buy: Globus is offering $999, taxes included, flights to Europe when you book one of five 2014 escorted motorcoach itineraries to Italy. The price is valid from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Halifax.

The savings: Hundreds of dollars.

The catch: You must book the tours, which range from seven to 11 days, by Oct. 29 for travel up to Oct. 31, 2014.

Why it’s worth it: These itineraries range from major cities such as Rome, Florence and Venice to smaller centres such as Orvieto and Spoleto and include the following tours: Great Cities of Italy, A Taste of Italy, Grand Catholic Italy, Gems of Umbria & Tuscany and the new Italian Vista. There is also free WiFi on all the coaches.

The buy: Sunwing Vacations has a companion offer on round-trip airfares to sunny destinations this fall and winter.

The savings: Up to 50 per cent for a second seat.

The catch: You have to book by Oct. 9 for 50 per cent savings for arrivals between Nov. 1 and Dec. 18, and 30 per cent savings for arrivals from Jan. 7 to Feb. 28.

Why it’s worth it: The sale is available on some 200 routes from gateways across Canada to southern destinations in the Caribbean, Mexico or Central America, as well as Las Vegas and Florida.

The buy: Visitors who book two hotel nights in Los Angeles receive an LA Museum Pass.

The savings: More than $500.

The catch: You have to stay between Oct. 7 and Nov. 12.

Why it’s worth it: The pass is valid for two free admissions and gift shop discounts at more than 25 top Los Angeles cultural institutions, including several with significant milestones, such as the 100th anniversary of the Natural History Museum, 25th anniversary of The Autry National Center and the 15th anniversary of The Getty Center.

The buy: Etihad Airways, which flies from Toronto to Abu Dhabi and beyond, is giving bonus points to its loyalty members who transfer points from the airline’s partners in the Etihad Guest’s Point Transfer Partnership.

The savings: 20 per cent bonus points.

The catch: You have to convert the points by Oct. 11.

Why it’s worth it: You can convert points from an array of hotel partnerssuch as Accor, Hyatt, Hilton, Intercontinental, Radisson Blu and Shangri-La and financial partners such as American Express to fly on Etihad.
