London in the off-season

The buy: Back for the 14th year is one of the best-priced off-season packages to London from DHTour.

The savings: Priced at $1,048, about the cost of an average return air ticket, it's like getting all the ground components for nothing.

The catch: It has just five departures (Nov. 6, 13, 27, Feb. 19, 26) and, thanks to Britain's high Air Passenger Duty, taxes and fees are $663.

Why it's worth it: In addition to return air with British Airway from Toronto, the package includes return airport/hotel transfers, six nights at the Tavistock Hotel with breakfast, sightseeing tour with guide on day of arrival, seven-day London Visitor's Travel Card with unlimited travel on London's buses and underground (zones 1 and 2), one West End show (you can choose from up to 10), one three-course dinner at a choice of more than 20 restaurants and all taxes and service charges.
