A fisherman with a boat out in Karachi's China Creek, Pakistan. Perfect timing using the calm waters to create reflections. A good choice choosing a higher angle to crop out the background and just frame the boats in the water.

A man brushes oil on an umbrella at a hand-made umbrellas workshop in Pathein, Irrawaddy Delta, Myanmar. The line and bright colours of the umbrellas bring the readers eye straight to the man. Try using lines and colours to help the viewer navigate your pictures.

Elizabeth Chambers was admiring the mixed flower beds at the Halifax Public Gardens when she spotted a bumblebee hovering over a nearby flower. Her shot of the insect was selected as the best submission on the theme of wildlife. The saturation of colour and bee caught in mid-flight really make this image.
