The Crown has approved charges against 19 more people in the Stanley Cup riot in Vancouver two years ago.

The charges involve 13 adults and six young people, mostly male, and include taking part in a riot, assault, mischief and breaking and entering.

Since the riot in 2011, the Crown has approved charges against 213 people and 140 of them have entered guilty pleas.

Last week, the Vancouver police recommended charges against 10 more people.

The first person to actually go on trial for participating in the riot was found guilty on three charges last month.

The riot broke out after the Vancouver Canucks lost Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final to Boston.
