Got stuck with two left feet? Head for Robson Square, because it's time to teach them a lesson.

Every week starting this Sunday, hundreds of dancers from absolute beginners to long-time pros will gather for Sunday Afternoon Salsa at Robson Square - a fun, all-weather event that includes free lessons, dancing and a show by top local talent.

At the half-hour lesson, you'll learn a few basic steps and a turn, then have the chance to give them a test drive on the dance floor. More of a wallflower? Not to worry - there's plenty of room to just watch the dancers in motion.

"It's a really wholesome and inclusive type of atmosphere and you just can't help being happy when you're there," says Jennifer Dancey of Dancey Ballroom and Dance Studio, who started the event to give dance lovers an alternative to late-night clubs.

"The music is really infectious, the atmosphere is so positive and the people just love being there, even if they don't dance. It's entertaining just to watch hundreds of people dancing."

Free Sunday Afternoon Salsa runs from 3-7 p.m. every Sunday at Robson Square through August. People of all ages and abilities welcome. For more info, visit sundayafternoonsalsa.com.
