The annual wiener dog races, which sees Dachshund dogs race against each other in a sprint to the finish, was held this weekend at Hastings Racecourse in Vancouver, B.C. Crowds gathered to cheer on the short-legged canines, which are often referred to as wiener dogs. The winning dog takes home $2,500 and the fame of being Vancouver’s fastest wiener dog.
