Two-year-old Ottawa boy found safe after Amber Alert

Ottawa police say a two-year-old boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been found and is safe.

They say the boy was taken around noon ET Thursday at an outdoor barbecue at the Tunney's Pasture area.

Witnesses said the boy and a man believed to be his father left the area on foot.

The boy is described as a black male with short black hair and he was wearing a navy blue polo shirt, denim shorts and grey and black running shoes.

Police said earlier the father is Kevyn Lex Menard, 24.

Menard is described as a black, five-foot-two, medium build, black hair with small dreads.

He was wearing a black V-neck shirt and beige pants.
