An Alberta artist has lost his battle against a proposed gas well, despite claiming a moral copyright on his land.
Peter von Tiesenhausen argued at a provincial Energy and Utilities Board hearing last month that his property -- which provides inspiration, materials and setting for an outdoor sculpture gallery -- is so vital to his art that it is art too.
