Police say a 13-year-old girl in Saskatchewan who was stabbed multiple times is in stable condition in hospital.

A teenaged boy has been charged with attempted murder in the case.

RCMP said Sunday that the boy is also 13.

Mounties say the girl was found with multiple stab wounds around 10 p.m. Friday in Warman, Sask.

Police later tracked down the suspect.

The accused will be making his first court appearance in Saskatoon provincial court on Monday.
