Four dead, one injured after collision in Jasper, RCMP say all from outside of Canada

Four people are dead and another in serious condition in hospital after a head-on collision on Highway 93 near Jasper, Alta.

RCMP say three of the dead were in a southbound car — a 47-year-old man, his 42-year-old wife and their 15-year-old son.

A 79-year-old woman who was a passenger in a northbound motorhome also died while her husband sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to an Edmonton hospital.

RCMP say all five people are from outside of Canada, adding that efforts are being made to notify their families.
