GO trains have finally resumed full service after long delays brought on by a bomb scare Wednesday afternoon that caused chaos on the commuter rail network.

Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins said trains were again running again on all seven GO lines after many trips had to be canceled.

A reported "suspicious package" at Exhibition Station drew the Toronto police bomb squad around 3 p.m. Officers removed and detonated the package, Aikins said, though the station remains closed to passengers.

With many commuters still stranded downtown, Aikins vowed to "make sure the trains run until the last person is home."
