The Graham James sexual assault case has been put over until Friday.

A lawyer for the convicted sex offender appeared in a Winnipeg court this morning to make the request.

The former junior hockey coach was not there and it is still not clear if he will apply for bail.

Mr. James has been in custody since he returned to Canada from Mexico last month.

He faces sex charges in relation to three complainants, including former NHL star Theo Fleury.

Mr. James was sentenced to three and-a-half years in 1997 for sexually abusing two teenage players, including former NHLer Sheldon Kennedy.
