New Brunswick Premier Bernard Lord has filled the vacancies in his cabinet, naming a pair of MLAs as ministers

Saint John Portland MLA Trevor Holder becomes new minister of Environment and Local Government.

Mr. Holder has been a backbencher since first being elected in 1999.

Joan MacAlpine-Stiles will continue as minister for Tourism and Parks, and minister of Family and Community Services.

She assumed the Family and Community Services post when Tony Huntjens was forced to quit after breaching privacy rules.

Former environment minister Brenda Fowlie also stepped down earlier this year after releasing private information.
