A man charged in a deadly home invasion in southern Saskatchewan has been found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder.

Daniel Richard Wolfe has also been convicted on three charges of attempted murder.

The Crown argued during the judge-only trial that Mr. Wolfe - a known gang member - was one of two men who burst through the door of a Fort Qu'Appelle home in September 2007 and started firing.

Marvin Arneault and Mike Itittakoose were killed.

Mr. Wolfe had pleaded not guilty to all charges, but an undercover police officer testified that he confessed while he was in custody.

The first-degree murder conviction means a life sentence with no parole eligibility for 25 years.
