A University of British Columbia professor will not be charged with hate crimes for a recent speech that criticized U.S. policy, drew widespread angry reaction and prompted a hate complaint to police, her lawyer, Jack Ruby said yesterday.
Sunera Thobani said in a speech in Ottawa to a women's conference that "from Chile to El Salvador, to Nicaragua to Iraq, the path of U.S. foreign policy is soaked in blood."
