Manitoba Conservative MP says he's asked prime-minister-designate Stephen Harper to rule him out as a potential cabinet minister because of a possible bid for the provincial Tory leadership.
Brian Pallister, who was re-elected in the Portage-Lisgar riding by a wide margin in the recent federal election, says he will jump into provincial politics only if there's compelling support for the move.
He plans to return to Manitoba soon to determine what backing he has for a leadership bid. CP
