Police believe a teenager who has been missing from her Toronto home since 1995 was murdered.
Police said in a statement yesterday that Holly Anne Painter was seen leaving her home at 359 Dawes Rd. with Steven Warner, 33, and Susan Livingstone, 25, acquaintances from Venturers scouting organization.
The three left in a dark green Ford Bronco, with licence plate 4JESTR, police said.
Mr. Warner and Ms. Livingstone told police that while on route, Ms. Painter, who was 18 at the time, got out of the car near the intersection of Kingston Road and Warden Avenue and ran away. Her family hasn't heard from her since.
Police said Mr. Warner used Ms. Painter's bank card at a bank machine in the United States on July 1, 1995.
Anyone with information is asked to call Toronto Police homicide squad at (416) 808-7400.
