Quebec police officer dies after patrol car crashes into trees

A Quebec provincial police officer is dead after her patrol car crashed into two trees on Wednesday evening.

Katia Hadouchi was alone in the cruiser and responding to a call about domestic violence when the crash occurred.

Police have not yet indicated what may have caused the 23-year-old officer to lose control of the vehicle.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Ms. Hadouchi died later in hospital.

The accident occurred in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, northeast of Montreal.
