A four-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Saskatchewan has been found.

Regina police confirmed on Twitter that they have Storm Slippery and thanked everyone for spreading the message that she was missing.

Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Popowich said police were called by Storm's mother at 10:42 a.m. Thursday. The mother told police she was forced to drive Storm and her non-custodial father, Anthony Joseph Slippery, to a business in the city. When the mother went inside that business and called authorities, Mr. Slippery took off with the child.

An Amber Alert was issued because police believed Storm was abducted. Police say the 32-year-old man has previous convictions for violent offences and is wanted for assault causing bodily harm. Ms. Popowich said he is considered a "violent and dangerous person."

Police later tweeted that Mr. Slippery was taken into custody without incident.
