Five youth and an adult are facing charges after two teens were shot in Regina.

It happened early Sunday morning in the 700 block of Athol Street in the Washington Park neighbourhood.

Police say two to three shots were fired and two boys, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old, were taken to hospital.

The 14-year-old was released later that day, but the older boy was reportedly in serious but stable condition.

Twenty-year-old Taurell Antonio Alexson of Regina is charged with attempted murder and several firearm offences.

Two 14-year-old boys and three others aged 15, 16 and 17, all of Regina, face the same charges.
