Two dead in shooting on Toronto’s Danforth Ave.

Two men are dead after a shooting in east Toronto.

Police cordoned off an stretch of busy Danforth Avenue near Woodbine Avenue on Wednesday after 9 p.m. when shots rang out in the vicinity of the Mediterranean Social Club.

The victims were said to be in their forties.

Both were killed by gunshots to the chest, Toronto EMS told the Toronto Star overnight. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and police said the second victim died in hospital.

Police say a couple of possible suspects were seen running away.
