Two women struck and killed in separate crosswalks in Lethbridge, Alta.

Two pedestrians have been struck and killed in crosswalks in separate incidents in Lethbridge, Alta.

In the first case, a 57-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon when she was hit by a Jeep.

An hour later, a 64-year-old woman was hit by a truck and was taken to hospital where she later died.

Lethbridge police say neither alcohol nor speed for factors in either incident.

In the first case, it isn't yet known if criminal charges will be laid while in the second case, charges are pending against the truck driver.
